It’s been a while since I’ve read anything by Ms. Sadly, this book just was not up to par. Her latest book, Accused, 12 releases today and brings back favourite characters. To ask other readers questions about Accusedplease sign up. One of my favourite mystery female writers is Lisa Scottoline, I have read all her books minus one accusee I have on my Ipad to read. The Gardner family is one of the most powerful in the country and Allegra’s parents don’t believe in reopening the case, so taking it on is risky.
Lisa Scottoline was recommended to me, and being a fan of legal mysteries, I chose to start with this one.
She is saying that the man Lonnie Stall who is serving time in prison for murdering her older sister Fiona are not true as he is innocent. There was nothing interesting about any of the characters The wise cracks come fast and furious but the humour, the intrusive family members, the caps lock every time Mary’s dad Frank speaks because all old Italian men shout when they speak, it all gets to be a bit much.
And the way she treated her fiance, Tony, was totally selfish! One doesn’t get sottoline be partner in a law scottolije by acting so flighty all the time.

I really enjoy this series because of the characters. She is fantastic and so are her books: Her maturity level felt more like late teens early twenties.
Based on the good ratings of her other books, I may try again, but I wouldn’t recommend this one. Her parents and their friends – the three Tonys – are a large part of her life.

Is she against using pronouns? I liked some of the humor, but I was not drawn to the characters.
I struggled with this one. Seeing Bennie share her “power” and watching Mary assert herself more is intriguing to see.
The characters are always ones you can relate to and wish they were your friends and family, most of the time. She is convinced that the young man behind bars is innocent.
